January 5 - group of White-crowned Sparrows at Gellette Road
January 6 -
1. Arsene Street to Gellette Road. Saw 2 Red-tailed Hawks near each other, Belted Kingfisher, Hermit thursh (path to cemetery); unknown hawk carrying unknown but large prey); American Crows; Fox Sparrow; Chickdees, Titmice and Downies; Blue Jays, Robins, Juncos, Song Sparrows; House Sparrows; White-throated Sparrows; Yellow-rumped Warblers; Tree Sparrows, Golden-crowned Kinglets; one Grackle; Carolina Wrens; Goldfinches; Mallards, Mockingbirds.
2. Soccer Fields .... best one was Palm Warbler
3. Gellette-Shaw Road...saw a small flock of immature White-crowneds with Songs on Gellette, then on Shaw's Cove Road saw another flock on a piece of a hay bale. At the Little League fields saw a cowbird, flicker and some of the above.
