October 1- West Island - Black-bellied Plovers
October 8 - West Island - AMOY and various birds
October 18- White-crowned and Swamp Sparrows. Also saw lifer Purple Finch and 2 Carolina Wrens fighting and approaching a puzzled turtle
October 21- Two Northern Harriers at Winsegansett eventually beset by 17 crows. At State Res., kept going despite sore throat and was rewarded by Lapland Longspur.
October 28 - Long Road - Purple Finch, Flicker, Red-breasted Nuthatch
October 31- Long Road - Field Sparrow, Red-tailed Hawk, one of 2 Palm Warblers
