Long Road--no one else around. Didn't see any goslings. Yellow Warblers, Wood Thrush and all the usuals.
While I was photographing a Cedar Waxwing having a set-to with a Catbird, I heard and felt something buzz near my head. It sounded like some kind of frog and I wondered if I had trodden on someone or was having a "frank auditory hallucination." No such thing as flying frogs, right? A little later I heard the frogs again and then saw a big bird with blood red eye rings....a Black-billed Cuckoo. Get those caterpillars, guy!!!!
Also a very obliging Northern Rough-winged Swallow on the gate.
Also went to eat with Bill and Ma at Bayside near Allen's Pond.
