Carolyn Longworth (clongworth) > There is a big pool with warm water from the hot springs in Furnas (the name of the town says it all). This grey wagtail was swooping into the warm water and then shaking himself off.

Carolyn Longworth (clongworth) > Haven't found out if these Canada Geese are vagrants or captives. There are only two other records of Canada Geese in the last 100 years finding their way to the Azores. The male was attacking all the passersby, including Janice.

Carolyn Longworth (clongworth) > One of the tame Mute Swans being followed (constantly) by a North American Wood Duck. This duck is one of only 10 known instances of a Wood Duck being in the Azores in 100 years. He's been there since 2002....he must really like the gardens (or this swan!)
