October 25-31, 2009 : October 31 - Nelson's Sparrow at Hacker Street
October 30 -- Young Peregrine Falcon eating a Ring-bill in Staples parking lot. Caused so much commotion with people taking photos with phones, etc. that two cruisers showed up and kept tabs on it.
October 29 - Lunchtime at Hacker Street with 10 Snow Buntings
October 25 - SEANET walk at West Island State - 2 Oystercatchers, an American Pipit, a Snow Bunting (no photo) , loons and some Sharp-tailed Sparrows. One looked like a Nelson's with white breast, almost no streaks and no dark moustachial stripe. BUT both it and one of the Saltmarsh Sparrows had a central smudge spot just like a Tree Sparrow.

October 21, 2009 : West Island Town Beach and Hacker Street. Highlights were a dozen Loons at West Island vocalizing and over 30 Sharptailed Sparrows at Hacker Street. (After getting a couple of emails and looking through my photos, I believe that at least 5 of the sharp-tails were Nelson's.
