May 14--
Long Road early. Perfect weather. Cowbirds and Goldfinch. Goldies stepped on the stems of dandelions to make them bend their heads to the ground so the birds could eat the seeds. Clever little things.
Lunchtime at Mill Road. Pair of nesting Mute Swans. Yellow Warbler pair going crazy...must have a nest.
Hummingbird at home.

May 15--
Cool, cloudy, breezy.
Long Road early a.m. -- saw Orioles and RW Blackbirds building nests. Barn and Rough-winged Swallows swooping over pond and fighting.
