Shaw Road to YMCA - Red-tailed Hawk chased by blackbirds and one Flicker, cooperative Prairie Warbler, Osprey being chased by blackbirds, young Redstart singing, Black Swallowtail butterfly
Mill Road - Set up Scrabble table but swan started approaching my mother and we got in the car. He came up to the window and began attacking the car (no pics).

May 26 & 27, 2007 : Nice weekend. Saturday hot, Sunday a little cooler.
May 26-- Mill Road ... was able to add Eastern Kingbird to BBA carrying nesting material. Pair of Wood Ducks.
May 27-- Hacker Street.  Pair of Saltmarsh Sharp-tailed Sparrows.  They came so close, I couldn't focus.
Long Road--the Orchard Orioles were still there.

May 20 & 21, 2007 : Lots of lessons about Orioles.  Saw a female Baltimore Oriole working on her nest and occasionally being mounted by orange male.
Young male Orchard Oriole with female scolded when I stayed near "their" tree.  Saw the female trying to get a piece of fishing line and when she was not successful, she moved on to other bits of stuff.  Couldn't quite see the nest though.
Saw a raccoon and a deer.
Pair of noisy Great-crested Flycatchers making a nest in a hollow of a tree on Long Road.
Nice Red-eyed Vireo.  Lots of Barn and Rough-winged Swallows about.

May 16, 2007 : Sunny mild calm.  Long Road 6:45 am.  
Saw a pair of Blackpoll Warblers (no pics) and also a couple birds I couldn't i.d.
Green Heron flew to a tree above me and stayed quite a while preening and squawking.
Followed a Parula but only got a shot of him eating a tiny green worm.
Heard and recorded a Black-billed Cuckoo, but didn't see it

May 14 & 15, 2007 : May 14--
Long Road early. Perfect weather. Cowbirds and Goldfinch. Goldies stepped on the stems of dandelions to make them bend their heads to the ground so the birds could eat the seeds.  Clever little things.
Lunchtime at Mill Road.  Pair of nesting Mute Swans.  Yellow Warbler pair going crazy...must have a nest. 
Hummingbird at home.

May 15--
Cool, cloudy, breezy.
Long Road early a.m. -- saw Orioles and RW Blackbirds building nests.  Barn and Rough-winged Swallows swooping over pond and fighting.

May 13, 2007 : Drizzly early, then cool and sunny.
Long Road - Catbirds galore, and the usual birds.  New bird for my Long Road list was a female Rose-breasted Grosbeak who wouldn't let me get a good pic.
Winsegansett - Willets complaining.  Two pairs of AMOY acting like there are eggs around. Ruddy Turnstones, Dunlin, Least Sandpipers.

Drizzly early, then cool and sunny. Long Road - Catbirds galore, and ...

May 7 -11, 2007 : May 7 - Long Road.  Blue-winged Warbler and Solitary Sandpiper.  Still heard Virginia Rail.
May 9 - Long Road.  No more Virginia Rail.  Three Warbling Vireos squawking. The males sang a little, then fought making a wren-like scolding noise with a little cat-noisy buzz.
May 11 - Long Road. Three Blue-winged Warblers (no pics) and a great Flicker.

May 6, 2007 : Visit to Mount Auburn Cemetery.  Breezy and chilly and overcast with sunny spells.  First bird we saw was Hooded Warbler but I was so excited, forgot to take pics.
Later went to Riverside Cemetery.  Only warblers were Yellow-rumps.

May 5, 2007 : Kay & I went to Long Road....highlights were Northern Parula and hearing (Kay saw it) a Virginia Rail.  A very confiding Palm Warbler let me take tons of pics and we were almost fooled by a Scarlet Tanager flitting around where there was also a bright red cardinal.

May 3, 2007 : Beautiful day.  Went to Shaw Road looking for Cattle Egret, but didn't see it till Mike from Marion came by and pointed out the tiny cream dot in the distance.  Walked down Shaw's Cove Road and got some pics.  Went back at 5 and it was there near the cattle.  Also saw House Wren, Barn Swallows, Yellowlegs, Towhee and Oriole.

At lunch saw Willet at Hacker Street.
