June 22--Robin at work
June 23 -- Hacker Street -- first sharp-tailed sparrow this year
June 25-- RR tracks near Shaw Road....lots of warblers...saw Blue-Winged, Common Yellowthroat and Yellow, Redstart
June 26 -- Mallards in the yard, on garage, then under feeder then waddled to puddle and ate bugs. At night went to Riverside Cemetery. Saw baby cowbird being fed by Song Sparrow. When the sparrow went to get more food, I noticed 2 pairs of adult cowbirds observing. One male flew over to the juvie and after a while it flew away, with the adults following. Read on Nat Geo that adult cowbirds visit youngsters while they are still in host family.
