June 15-19, 2008

June 19- Walked the West Island State Reservation. Best bird was Black Skimmer, but flew into sun, so bad picture. Saw AMOY, Ruddy Turnstone, Common Eiders and Terns, Spotted Sandpiper, one Saltmarsh Sharptailed Sparrow. Nothing at Long Road or Little Bay (except 6 AMOY flying over). Winsegansett noticed symbolic fence around AMOY nest ...

June 27 - Saw the Red-throated Loon at Hacker Street but was very dark and drizzly. Saw it again June 29 and June 30th--slightly better shots.
