Had seen AMOY for the first time this year at Winsegansett on March 23, then again in rain on March 25. Sunday I went at low tide and was looking for them far off where they usually are when I go. I thought I spotted them but then out of the corner of my eye, I saw them about 15 feet away from me. Nothing much at West Island Town Beach ...

Went to the fabulous new Norfolk Library for a meeting. On the way back stopped at Stony Brook Audubon center. Great walk around the pond and marsh. Wood ducks (no pic) and lots of Canada Geese. Also very obliging rodents. Below freezing with bitter wind and snow flurries.

Stony Point Dike in Wareham. About 38 degrees, light breeze, some snow on the beach and land. Saw over 200 Common Eider, a Marbled Godwit, some Dunlin and Sanderlings, Herring and Great Black-backed gulls. Dead eider...found out from necropsy it was oiled! No marks on it.
